Dear Kuwaiti Scholars:

Welcome to the start of the 2006-2007 academic year!  I hope that you have all enjoyed a rewarding and relaxing summer break and are now ready to meet the challenges of the new year.  I extend a special, warm welcome to those students who are joining us for the first time and assure you that both the Kuwait student body and this office are here to lend you our assistance and guidance as needed.

I remind all students of the extensive support services we offer and urge you to remain in contact with our office as you pursue your studies.  Remember to consult our website on since current information will be posted on a regular basis.

You are also reminded of the established procedure in contacting our office:

·        The first step is to call your adviser.  Your adviser has direct responsibility for your file and should be able to act immediately upon your request or inquiry.

·        If your academic adviser is unable to respond to your request, please contact the appropriate director.

·        If you feel your case has not been adequately addressed, you may then contact the appropriate Cultural Attaché.

I am also pleased to report I will be joined on September 1, 2006, by two colleagues, Dr. Hasan A. Nasrallah who will assume the post of Cultural Counselor and Director of the Office, and Dr. Ahmad E. Al-Loughani who will assume the position of Cultural Attaché.
